Betametasona calcipotriol gel. All the patients had a history of stroke, with mean age 62.6 ± 7.7 years and a mean time to follow up of 3.5 ± 0.4 years. The patients were screened for cardiovascular disease with a comprehensive history and physical examination. All had at least one of the following: left ventricular hypertrophy, history of myocardial infarctions, coronary artery disease, or peripheral vascular disease. Patients with a total cholesterol of ≤200 mg/dL or LDL cholesterol of ≤100 mg/dL were considered to have a high risk of stroke (1). The inclusion criteria for this study were: age of >50 years, a history atrial fibrillation, and Augmentin cena zamienniki no treatment with antihypertensive medications within the month preceding baseline visit. All the patients underwent a maximal exercise testing (MET) to assess stroke volume using a standardized protocol (24). The included a 10-min maximal effort of the first stage maximal exercise test in the supine position and at end of the 10-min exercise test. protocol lasted 90 min in total. The patients were admitted to hospital and monitored until the end of first stage exercise test and the cessation of maximal exercise. patients then underwent a second phase of the maximal exercise test, where effort was increased by the same amount for each of the three exercise phases. maximal test consisted of a total three 30-min maximal exercise protocols, as follows: Stage I: 10 min at 60% of maximal oxygen uptake (VO 2 max) and 40% of heart rate reserve (HRR) with an individual exercise peak intensity of 75% maximal heart rate reserve (HRR) (24). Stage II: 10 min at 80% of VO 2 max with an individual exercise peak intensity of 75% HRR. Stage III: 10 min at 90% of VO 2 max with an individual exercise peak intensity of 85% HRR. During and after the exercise testing, all patients took a standardized medication that was based on their personal health profile (25, 26). Statistical analysis All the data are expressed as Reactine generic brand mean ± SD. All the data were analyzed with Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS, Chicago, IL). P values <0.05 were considered statistically significant. RESULTS The baseline characteristics of patients are given in Table 1. The patients' exercise habits were very similar to those of the general population. Mean ± SD age of the patients was 62.6 ± 7.7 years. The mean BMI of patients was 22.4 ± 3.8, with a mean BMI of 28.6 ± 6.1 for men and 33.7 ± 7.0 for women (27). The mean age for those with myocardial infarction was 73.6 ± 10.2 and 73.0 10.6 for those with peripheral vascular disease and stroke, respectively (27). A total of 28 (35%) patients were using antihypertensive medications in the month before baseline visit. Of these 28 patients, 15 (41%) patients had been using antihypertension medication during the previous month. All patients took a standardized medication every morning, and the mean duration of use antihypertensive medications for this group was 7.5 ± 5.2 days, with a median (interquartile range) of 6.5 (3.0–11.1) days.
